Help find a cure!
I am running a half-marathon in Steamboat Springs, Colorado! This has been a personal goal of mine for a long time, but I am also running to benefit others who are suffering with leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and other blood-related cancers. I have joined the Denver chapter of Team in Training for the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society. I am also running for a patient honoree that lives here in Colorado named Jim. Jim was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma when he was 28 and is currently in remission.
I have personally committed to raising a minimum of $1500 prior to the half-marathon on June 1. Please help me in supporting this challenge for the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society. The Society is a national voluntary health agency dedicated to curing leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, and myeloma, and improving the quality of life for patients and their families. Today, 81% of children with leukemia and 93% of those with Hodgkin’s disease will live, thanks to the research funded by people like me, involved in programs like Team in Training. Training for the marathon is huge goal for me, but one that I know I will accomplish. This is certainly a small challenge in comparison to what my patient honoree and many others have to overcome everyday. I would greatly appreciate if you give generously to this cause or any contribution you have to offer. No matter what the contribution, 75% of it will go directly to research on finding a cure. Also remember that all donations are 100% tax deductible! |
